'A Cabinet of English Literary Treasures', 6, 7 & 8 March

This year's Sandars Reader in Bibliography, hosted by the UL, is Toshiyuki Takamiya, Emeritus Professor of Keio University, who will lecture on 'A Cabinet of English Literary Treasures: Reflections on 50 Years of Book Collecting' at 5pm on Monday 6, Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 March, in the McCrum Lecture Theatre, Bene't Street. The series is inspired by the some of the fruits of Prof. Takamiya's activities as a scholar-collector, with particular focus on books once owned by Laurence Nowell, Thomas Cranmer and John Dee, and a study of notable forgeries.
