'A Most Valuable Library': The Origins of the Whipple Library and the Department of History and Philosophy of Science
The Whipple Library, Whipple Museum of the History of Science, and Department of History and Philosophy of Science have a unique, intertwined history. This exhibition uses archival documents to explore the origins and founding values of the Whipple Library and Museum, as well as explain how Robert Whipple's donation of scientific instruments and books acted as a catalyst for the formation of the Department of History and Philosophy of Science.
