Information about step-free access for disabled and other users.

Stairs to Library from main DepartmentBecause we occupy an old building that has been repurposed over the years the route to the Library via the main Department staircase involves a number of steps up and down.

Step-free access to the Library reading rooms is possible via the group entrance to the Whipple Museum on the New Museums Site by prior arrangement.

Please contact us in advance, if possible, for assistance with this and to let us know of any other special requirements as necessary. Library staff will be happy to help as far as possible.

A lift provides access to all floors inside the Library.
