Flier showing the 'phrenological organs' of the head

These pages show highlights from an exhibition of the Whipple Library's special collections that was displayed in the Whipple Museum's Reserve Gallery between 2003 and 2005.

The displays featured books from all areas of the Library's special collections, including those books originally presented to the University by Robert Whipple in 1944, alongside the instruments he collected, as well as later additions to the Library, such as books and printed ephemera from the library of the British Phrenological Society, and the pamphlets from the Sir Michael Foster Collection on physiology.
