The Whipple Library is the University's specialist library for History and Philosophy of Science. It exists primarily to support the teaching and research activities of the Department of History and Philosophy of Science where we're located, but we also welcome and encourage users from other departments and faculties from around the University. Our collections are broad and include material on a range on interdisciplinary topics.
The Whipple is affiliated to Cambridge University Library and uses many of the systems and processes common to libraries around the Cambridge network.
Most important of these is the shared online catalogue where you can discover what's available here and elsewhere.
E-resources (including ejournals and databases) are available on machines around the University network, and to current University members with an eligible Raven password from off campus.
